Physical Description:As much as Edward looks like his father, Alphonse looks like Tricia. His face is rounded, kind, and young. Where Edward has the golden hair and eyes of his father, Alphonse’s hair and eyes are a slighter darker shade, closer to a light golden brown. His hair is short, and his natural part is on the left side of his head. Training and riding horses helps Alphonse keep a lean, strong build. He stands at an average height for a teenager 5’6”.

Alphonse dresses cleanly at all times, after all- it reflects on his mother. A clean button down shirt, pants, suspenders, and a vest or jacket are Alphonse’s usual wardrobe. When he can, he wears work boots instead of dress shoes- they’re just a lot more comfortable.
Personality: Alphonse is calm, collected, and cheerful. Of course he is only starting his teen years, so spurts of rashness are something new for him. In the past, Alphonse needed to be the counter-balance to Edward’s fiery temper and boisterous energy. When Ed went to Faustus Academy, then to advance his education, then to his career, it left Alphonse alone and allowed him to have his own passions.
Abilities/Strengths/Weaponry:Al’s calm and cheerful demeanor are infectious. If there was anyone that could talk his way out of a situation with honesty, it would be Alphonse. Due to his good nature, he has a natural talent with animals. Al is a jack of all trades, but a master of none. He had lots of time to study lots of things but no real reason or persuasion to pursue anything specifically.
Weaknesses:Alphonse is the kindest boy in Aegis. If you ever wanted to see a boy cry, Al would probably be the one you would see. Because he is strong hearted, it would be easy to take advantage of him.
History:Since the age of one, Alphonse has been living with the Rockbells with his mother Trisha and older brother Ed. Al’s father Hoenheim left before he is able to remember. The Rockbells are bison-cattle tycoons, and were able to give Trisha a stable position as governess to the youngest Rockbell, Winry. Winry, Alphonse, and Alphonse played together until Al turned five. Edward, now eleven, was offered a prestigious scholarship to the Faustus Academy. Ed and Winry argued—Ed left without saying goodbye. Winry’s parents died shortly after, then she left as well, leaving Alphonse alone.

Alphonse suddenly no longer had his brother’s temper to deal with. It was him, his mother, and far too much room. He kept himself occupied by riding as he did before at first, but he soon became bored. He read everything available to him, from steam technology to history. He tried everything from chemistry to painting, even a little piano. Nothing seemed to catch his interest for long. He didn’t see much of anyone other than his mother.

The longer that Edward was gone, the more depressed Tricia became. It took a few years before Alphonse realized that it wasn’t just Edward she was missing. Because of a late night of reading, Alphonse heard his mother calling for Hoenheim to come home in her sleep. Although his brother came home occasionally, Alphonse never really wanted to bring up the subject with his brother, since Ed had such distain for their father.

Now Alphonse is fourteen, and he is journeying out to find what happened to his father. It’s the only thing that Alphonse has ever felt a need to pursue. Let’s hope that his varied book learning has provided him to means to succeed.
